Tasked with integrating Oklahoma Black History, Afrofuturism, and time travel based theoretical concepts from the book "Kindred" by Octavia Butler, the design illustrates familial bonds among African-Americans. Through the use of light simulating time travel, these shared cultural bonds travel from Oklahoma's past to Oklahoma's future. The use of wood, metal, and additional design elements reinforces the strength and endurance exhibited in each time period. The public restrooms feature "The Green Book" and "The Black Dispatch" publications.
