Cherdena's creative spirit matriculated to graphic design. When given the opportunity to learn Adobe Suite to render interior spaces as a junior designer, she fell in love with the medium. As a result, she formed Creative-at-Heart Graphics Company. Her business has created a plethora of designs for various local, regional, & national organizations and companies. As a maker for Carmel Doll Keepsakes, she has excelled in making unique papercrafts, products, and apparel for the community.
Possessing a passion for the community, Cherdena makes a concerted effort to expose underrepresented youth to design through mentoring, speaking engagements, hands-on activities, and workshops. Cherdena is also the director of the Miss Black Oklahoma City Pageant, founded by legendary civil rights activist Clara Luper, where contestants develop self-worth, confidence, and develop leadership skills.
Cherdena is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., attends Peoples' Church of Oklahoma City, and is also a member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. where she serves as Social Media Chair for the Central Region and President of the Oklahoma City Chapter.
